Nadwa Al-Dawsari
Nadwa Al-Dawsari is a conflict and policy analyst, and a specialist in Yemeni tribes with over 18 years of field experience in conflict management and civil society development in Yemen. Since 2003, she held senior positions at several international organizations including the National Democratic Institute, Partners Global, and the Center for Civilians in Conflict.
Since 2008, Al-Dawsari has conducted extensive field research offering analysis on governance, formal/informal justice and security, and political transition in Yemen from a community-level perspective, thus providing deeper insights into the dynamics of the conflict in the country.
Since 2011, Al-Dawsari has been engaged directly with policy-making circles in the West, particularly the United States and United Kingdom (UK), seeking to strengthen diplomacy efforts to address political unrest and security concerns in Yemen. Her publications have been featured by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, United States Institute of Peace (USIP), Atlantic Council, Middle East Institute, Oxfam, Lawfare, Project on Middle East Democracy, the Washington Post, and the Center for Civilians in Conflict, among others.
Al-Dawsari is the founding Director of Partners Yemen, a local affiliate of Partners Global. She holds a Masters of Art in Development Studies from the University of Leeds, England
